GOAL: The objective of China Project Hope - Fund Raising in North America '98 is to motivate and unite the organizations and the individuals who are concerned about the educational development of China. This project seeks to finance the return to school of millions of children who were forced to dropout by sheer poverty. The fund-raising activity relies on the media to broadcast China Project Hope amongst the Chinese community of North America. It utilizes the publicity to generate more donations and attention for this fund-raising event, and push the fund-raiser into the mainstream of North America. It seeks to procure large funding by presenting the major North American charity foundations and the private donors with the current conditions of China's education system and the accomplishments of China Project Hope.

MEANS OF DONATION: Personal and organizational sponsors are welcome to mail their donation to North American Chinese Educational Foundation(NACEF) or China Youth Development Foundation(CYDF)

SIX LEVELS OF SPONSORSHIP:

• US$50, to sponsor a primary school dropout to complete primary education.
• US$70, to sponsor a primary school dropout to complete primary education and to plant a memorial tree in the International Hope Garden.
• US$1,200, to establish a "San Chen" computer based educational system in a primary school.
• US$24,400, to sponsor to construct a Hope Primary School in your designated area in China.
• US$120,000 and over, to establish a Special Project Hope Fund.
• Any amount, to donate any amount of money for Project Hope.
